Andrew Krivak Denied New Trial in Rape and Murder of Josette Wright

A Putnam County (NY) Judge has denied Andrew Krivak’s bid to have the rape and murder conviction of Josette Wright thrown out. The alleged murderer was convicted along with his cousin Anthony DiPippo in 1997 in separate trials. DiPippo appealed and was granted a new trial in 2012 where he was convicted again. In yet another appeal in 2016 DiPippo was tried and finally acquitted of all charges. It is not know yet whether Krivak will appeal.

Jury Finds DiPippo Not Guilty

A jury in Carmel, NY found Anthony DiPippo, 40, not guilty of rape and murder of 12-year old Josette Wright.  The 6″5′ Carmel resident  was tried for the third time.  Apparently it was the charm, as DiPippo walked out of the courthouse a free man for the first time in 22 years.
