Anthony DiPippo granted third trial in Josette Wright murder case

Anthony DiPippo, twice convicted of raping and murdering Josette Wright, 12-yrs.old, on October 4, 1994, has been granted a third trial tentatively slated for September 7, 2016 in the Putnam County courthouse in Carmel NY.

This past week, DiPippo also learned that his bail request was approved. He walked out of the Putnam County Jail on June 7th on a $1 million cash bond funded by his mother and stepfather. It was the first time in 22 years he has not spent the night in a jail cell. He will be staying in his parents’ home in Pawling, NY.

In his first trial DiPippo was tried separately from Andrew Krivak who was charged with the same crime. Krivak is presently jailed in Greenhaven Correctional Facility in upstate New York.

In his second trial DiPippo’s lawyers claimed that they were unable to enter into evidence the blockbusting information fingering another individual who, in fact, committed the rape/murder some 22 years ago.

A book about the case by Kevin F. McMurray, “Fatal Trust” was published in 2014 by Crimescape.com
